How to Track Sent Samples

This article shows you how you can record which samples you’ve sent to your prospects!

As a consultant, we know how things could get for you and your business, and when it comes to the amazing job you are doing with your clients, being able to track activities becomes paramount.

With the “Sent a Sample'' feature you can record what type of samples you have sent and schedule a follow-up task with your contact. This can be done from your contact's profile card or when completing daily tasks.

Hot Tip: This feature allows you to record which samples you’ve sent, it does not have any effect or connection to inventory management or shipping of samples.


How to record a Sample Sent from the Daily

1 - Select a Prospecting task from the "Prospecting" page or from your Daily.

2 - Select a prospect

3 - Click on “Sent a Sample”

4 - Select which samples you have sent and click “Next”

5 - Select the date when the sample was sent and click “Next”

*The date can be any time in the past or future.

6 - Now you can close the task if you're done or you can schedule a follow-up and add notes to the upcoming follow-up task.

That’s it! A green check mark will appear next to the “Sent a Sample” button.

How to record a Sample Sent from the Profile Card

1 - Open the profile card for your prospect

2 - Click on “Send a Sample”

3 - Select which samples you have sent and click “Next”

4 - Select the date when the sample was sent and click “Next”

*The date can be any time in the past or future.

5 - Now you can close the task if you're done or you can schedule a follow-up and add notes to the upcoming follow up task!

Hot Tip: You can view what samples were sent and on which date from the contact’s profile card!

How to delete a record of a Sample Sent

1 - Open the contacts profile card

2 - Select the drop-down arrow on the right

3 - Click on the trash can icon of the individual sample you want to be removed or click the “X” to remove them all.

Hot Tip: You can use PULSE by Penny’s filtering ability to filter all your contacts to whom you have sent a sample to in one view. In the Contacts page, use the search bar and type in “Samples Sent”. Only contacts with a recorded sample will appear under this tag.
