This article describes how to easily import your contacts to PULSE by Penny.

Having an organized and up-to-date contact list in Penny is essential. Importing contacts from various sources can save time and effort. In this article, we will discuss the different methods of importing your contacts to Penny.


Import All Mobile Contacts 📱

Hot Tip: The mobile contacts import works only on the mobile app.

1 - In your mobile app, go into the "+ Add" tab

2 - Select " 🔄 Import Phone Contacts".

3 - Select the "Next" button when you are sure that you would like to import ALL your mobile contacts.

4 - Give PULSE by Penny permission to access your contacts by selecting "OK" if you haven't done this earlier.
5 - Select More.
6 - Select Contacts and see the contacts you imported from your mobile.

💡 If you recently added new contacts to your phone and wish to sync them to PULSE by Penny, simply follow the same steps, and the new contacts will be imported.


Add a Single Contact from your Mobile (Prospect from Your Phone) 📱

1 - Select Lists

2 - Select Prospecting

3 - Select Prospect from your Phone

4 - Type a name of a contact in the search box to find a mobile contact

5 - Select the name of the mobile contact to add to PULSE by Penny

6 - Select Schedule a Reachout

7 - Select a date under "When should I schedule a Reachout?"

8 - Add notes or tags to your Reachout (optional but important)

9 - Select Save


Import Contacts from a Spreadsheet

Hot Tip: The spreadsheet import only works on the web version. Not sure how to download your contacts from your service providers? Click here for step-by-step guides!

1 - Download the sample spreadsheet or sample csv to ensure your contacts are formatted properly.

2 - Select Contacts

3 - Select Add

4 - Select Import Spreadsheet

5 - Drag and drop your contacts file into the box or click the box to select your file, then click "Upload".

6 - A list of your contacts will generate. Confirm your contacts by clicking "Import".

Hot Tip: Seeing Errors when uploading your file? A few things to keep in mind:

  • Be certain to have a "First Name" as it is a required field

  • "First Name" and "Last Name" need to be in separate columns

  • The email is invalid? Don't forget the @(at sign)

  • The phone number is invalid? Remember to use -(dashes)
